The BMC Helix Event Management Starter Service takes you a step further on the AIOps journey by implementing event management core functionalities and defining a scalable structure for different event sources. It enables IT operations administrators to perform event management activities related to event enrichment, blackout, suppression, correlation, and notification. This offering provides an entry point for more advanced event management and AIOps use cases.

What you get:

BMC will perform the following in one environment:

  • Conduct a workshop of up to two days for requirements gathering.
  • Configure up to 20 event management policies from the following policy types: enrichment, notification, blackout, suppression, or correlation.
  • Knowledge transfer/walkthrough session (up to two hours). Session recording will be shared.
  • Prepare Construction Document.
  • Prepare a Solution Design Document.
  • Prepare Test Plan.

Customer will be responsible for:

  • Providing requirements on event management use cases
  • Conducting functional testing
  • Providing suitable environment to perform deployment and test

Deliverables: Using BMC’s standard methodology and templates, the following Deliverables are in scope for this project and will be delivered:

  • Solution Design Document
  • Construction Document
  • System Test Plan Document 

Completion Criteria: BMC will have completed the Service when the in-scope Service have been completed and the Deliverables have been reviewed in accordance with the Terms of Use and delivered to the customer Project Manager. From delivery start date, the service must be consumed and completed within 30 days. Consultant days must be booked in no less than 8-hour increments/full days.

Definitions:

Country-Specific Staffing: Upon Customer’s request and BMC resource availability, BMC will deviate from BMC’s Standard Delivery model. BMC will work with Customer to understand and address their country-specific staffing requirements. The staffing choice from which country a BMC resource comes from will be mutually agreed to by BMC and Customer.  

Standard Delivery: : A mix of BMC consultants and project managers sourced from various BMC locations.
