This Service leverages machine learning and GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) to analyze vast amounts of IT data, accelerating root cause analysis by generating human-understandable situation summaries, empowering proactive IT operations by identifying anomalies and automating the resolution of routine issues.

BMC will provide the following in one production environment:

  • Best Action Recommendation (BAR) 
    • By leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, and predictive analytics, Helix AIOps provides IT teams with actionable, AI driven recommendations for Customer’s environment.
  • Situation Summaries 
    • A human-readable AI-generated summary of the generated situation.
  • Ask HelixGPT for AIOps 
    • View predefined prompts to get more analysis/information about the best action recommendations.
  • BAR Code Wizard
    • Automation Code Generation - BMC HelixGPT driven wizard offers sample code to accomplish individual steps in different programming languages such as Ansible, Python, and Bash.
  • Log Insights 
    • BMC HelixGPT connects with Customer’s log repository including BMC Helix Log Analytics and shows an in-depth analysis of the time-sliced runtime logs from diverse systems to identify the root cause of the situations.

BMC will:

  • Provide workshops on features of HelixGPT with Helix AIOps.
  • Set up and configure the BMC HelixGPT model on the generative AI platform.
  • Configure the deployed Model Credentials* to the Tenant/Stack*.
  • Review service models.
  • Review custom event and topology integrations.
  • Review roles and permissions required in BMC Helix AIOps.
  • Prepare Solution Design Document.
  • Prepare Construction Document.
  • Prepare Test Strategy and Plan document.
  • Prepare Deployment Plan document.

Deliverables: Using BMC’s standard methodology and templates, the following Deliverables are in scope for this project and will be delivered:

  • Construction Document
  • Solution Design Document
  • Test Strategy and Plan Document
  • Deployment Plan Document

Completion Criteria: BMC will have completed the Service when the in-scope Service have been completed and the Deliverables have been reviewed in accordance with the Terms of Use and delivered to the customer Project Manager. Consultant days must be booked in no less than 8-hour increments/full days.

Pre-requisites:

  • Customer has implemented BMC Helix AIOps and is on version 24.3 or above.
  • Customer has implemented BMC Helix Discovery (on same version as Helix AIOps).
    • SaaS environment only 
  • Business Service/Application Models* have been created.
  • Customer has implemented event/topology integrations using Intelligent Integrations*.
  • Appropriate licenses/tokens have been acquired for the generative AI. provider in order to use Helix GPT on Helix AIOps.
  • Customer has necessary account login information and access for one of the following generative AI providers:
  • Google Cloud Platform Vertex AI:
    • Account created and access to the project to deploy the model.
  • Azure OpenAI:
    • Procurement of an Azure ML subscription.
    • User to have Contributor role to Azure ML.
    • Azure cli to be installed on the client machine.
    • Docker should be installed where Azure cli is installed.
    • Required GPUs can be spawned in the region where the deployment is being done.

Definitions:

  • Standard Delivery: A mix of BMC consultants and project managers sourced from various BMC locations.
  • Country-Specific Staffing: Upon Customer’s request and BMC resource availability, BMC will deviate from BMC’s Standard Delivery model. BMC will work with Customer to understand and address their country-specific staffing requirements. The staffing choice from which country a BMC resource comes will be mutually agreed to by BMC and the Customer.
  • Application Models: BMC Application Models are a core component within the BMC Helix Discovery suite. They provide a comprehensive and structured representation of your IT environment, specifically focusing on applications and their dependencies.
  • Business Service: represents a function or capability that directly supports a business process or objective.
  • Intelligent Integrations: BMC Helix Intelligent Integrations is a component within the BMC Helix platform that facilitates seamless data exchange and communication between different IT tools and systems.
  • Model Credentials are needed to establish connection between the Customer favored GenAI platform and HelixGPT.
  • Tenant/Stack is the SaaS AIOps platform that is deployed for the Customer. This is where users will be analyzing situations.
